Autumn TAG

  I realise this picture might not conjure typical connotations with Autumn but I didn't fancy using a cliché stock photo of some fallen leaves or a pumpkin. This is the view from our balcony at the moment and it is now officially Autumn!

I'm not usually the biggest fan of tags but I thought this one was pretty good, I tag all of you!

1. Favourite thing about Autumn?

The air, its so crisp and fresh. It has been such a gross, humid summer that its a relief to be able to breathe properly outside. I also love any excuse to go shopping, autumn means a new coat and scarf.

2. Scented candle of choice?

My all-year favourite is definitely the Black Cherry Yankee Candle but I also love anything gingerbread-cinammony or that smells like marshmallow.

3. Favourite drink?

Coffee? I would actually kill for a diet coke, I can't find it anywhere here, although I suppose a hot chocolate wouldn't go amiss either!

4. Best lipstick?

I love darker lipsticks in the colder months and my 'fall favourite' has to be Sleek's Vamp Lipstick. 

5. Go to moisturiser?

All year I use Clarins Hydraquench but usually just as a night time moisturiser because it's so rich. From September onwards I slather it on because my skin goes from normal to super-dry.

6. Go to colours for the eyes?

I stick with neutral colours on my eyes but in Autumn I do tend to get a bit sparkly. I reach for the Urban Decay Naked Palette: Smog and Sidecar in particular. I also love love love MAC's Swiss Chocolate and Cranberry.

7. Favourite music/band?

I like a huge variety of music genres (except Jazz, which I cannot abide) and I am in fact, still listening to my 'summer 2013' playlist on iTunes. At the moment I really like Drake, Stromae and Ellie Goulding.

8. Favourite outfit to wear?

Typical colder weather outfit is usually comprised of a huge jumper, skinny jeans and boots. Uggs are actually my guilty pleasure so I'll probably wap a pair of those on if i'm not doing anything fancy. I'm not much of a hat person but I do own one solitary hat that doesn't look ridiculous on me, sadly that lonely little hat is now in storage somewhere in York.

9. Autumn Treat?

I suppose I can start buying stuff with a view to christmas presents from now, when in reality it is probably all for me. But a new coat is how I plan on treating myself this year.

10. Favourite place to be?

This is a tricky one, because of how displaced the last couple of years have been for me, I have a lot of really good friends spread across the world. Switzerland will always be a really special place to me, and theres something about snow and mountains that will always lead me to associate cold months with la Suisse! Unfortunately, almost everyone has left now so maybe either Paris or Bordeaux...Obviously I am going to have to go with wherever my husband is!
