What Have I Been Up To?

You may know if you follow us on Twitter that I moved to Paris at the beginning of December last year. Settling in has taken far longer than I though possible and we have moved 4 times in the last 2 months. I'm finally in the studio apartment that I will be living in until September when we (plan to) move back to England. I'm not a very laid-back person and I've had a tonne of extra stuff to stress out about over the last couple of months which is one of the reasons why I haven't blogged since November (!) last year. 

It also got the point where I was blogging because I thought I should be, not because I really wanted to share my opinions about a product. The quality of my posts reflected this and I wanted to stop until I could produce something that I could be proud of. Blogging should be fun, a way to relax even, not a chore and I want the blog to show how passionate I am, not that i'm too lazy to put in the extra effort to make it perfect. I want to be able to take the time to photograph the focus of a post, a blurry photograph of a mascara brush ain't helping nobody make an informed decision about a product.

I've pretty much settled into a routine now at work, and although I will occasionally have overtime, I think I can figure out a way to work my hobby back into my weekly schedule. Being in Paris is (finally) lovely and i've got so much more to talk about as a result. Hopefully, from here on out, you'll be seeing better , in-depth raves & reviews of products i've been getting to grips with over the previous months.
