Jeffree Star Cosmetics | Velour Liquid Lipstick Haul & Swatches

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

These gorgeous Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks are such a pain to get hold of. Putting the hideous shipping and customs palaver aside, they are so often out of stock! As you may of seen on our Instagram, I recently spent a ridiculous amount of money on US cosmetics because I was fortunate enough to have my aunt offer her home address for delivery. Fear not, you can still get your hands on a few, even if you live in the UK. Keep an eye on the product availability here on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics site and just be prepared to pay a hefty fee to have the post office release your parcel to you when it eventually arrives in the UK. There more info about international shipping from the US here. It's $10.95 for international shipping, or free if you spend more than $150.

These babies are $18 each, which works out about £13 but it will completely depend on the exchange rate your bank uses. Some banks also charge for foreign transactions so be wary. I really wanted to try Celebrity Skin but it was sold out, so I went for Unicorn Blood, Dominatrix and Redrum. These shades are so me and suit my olive complexion.

Now, these swatches don't look quite right and thats largely due to the fact that this product takes forever to dry. I'm very impatient too, but these were taken in natural daylight only. Left- Right: Redrum, Unicorn Blood and Dominatrix. You can see how pigmented Redrum and Unicorn Blood are in the swatch and they truly are scrumptious shades. Dominatrix i'm less keen on, my mum said it looks like poop which is kind or ruining the 90s retro vibe I was aiming for, plus it needs to be layered to be completely opaque.

The applicator is just right, not too big and doesn't overload product. Overall, i'm really happy with these Velour Liquid Lipsticks, they wear well and the colours are amazing. I just wish they dried a bit faster and somewhere like Cult Beauty stocked them, especially now that Jeffree Star has brought out a new range of highlighters. *wistful sigh*

Which is your favourite Jeffree Star shade?

  1. I understand: I don't like when a lipstick (creamy or liquid) takes ages to dry either, it's just very uncomfortable! The shades are gorgeous though, especially Redrum and Unicorn Blood!

    1. I think I'm just so used to using liquid lipsticks that take no time at all to dry, that i'm a little spoiled! I want to be able to crack on with my day, not sit and wait for lipstick to dry haha. These are dreamy and i can't believe its taken me so long to get my hands on them! x

  3. I just bought a couple of these from Cocktail Cosmetics and I'm in love with them. I picked up Doll Parts and I'm Nude but I seriously want Celebrity Skin, they're one of the most comfortable liquid lipsticks I've tried. x

    1. Ooh whats Cocktail Cosmetics? I didn't realise you can get hold of these babies elsewhere! Doll Parts is a stunning shade, but I didn't think it would look quite right on me with my skin tone :( Celebrity Skin is next on my list! x
