Clinique Anti Blemish Solutions Set

I've had this set quite some time now, admittedly, I don't use it as often as I probably should, mainly due the fact I have about 20 other scrubs, cleansers and masks I use. But I used this one specifically to prep for my trial of the JorgObé Peel Off Mask (keep an eye out for the review!). Kirsty also did a review on this 3 step system here.

Here's why I chose this one...

Clinique are one of the best skin care brands out there at the moment. I use their Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm to remove my make up everyday (wait for review of that as well!) and it's amazing. It leaves my skin actually feeling clean and not just like I've wiped off a few layers of foundation. It feels like there really is no cosmetics on my face what so ever.. plus it removes my They're Real! Push Up Liner, which as many of you probably know, as amazing as it is, it's a pain to remove!

I like it because it has three elements. All combatting different things and all a unique consistency.

Step 1 is the Cleansing Foam. This is my fave.. I love foam! You just have to smear this all over your face, rubbing it in and making sure all crevasses are completely scrubbed. I then remove it with a cotton pad, this way I can really see what is left behind

Step 2 is the Clarifying Lotion. This is the toner. It really helps lift the dirt off your skin. Using a cotton pad, I apply a little of the liquid and ensure all areas of my face have been wiped clean.. The proof is on the pad!

Finally, Step 3 is a Clearing Moisturiser. This stops any more bacteria reaching the pores and also leaves your skin silky smooth. If you're applying a mask afterwards, do not apply step 3 as this will reduce the effect of the mask.

Overall, after using the 3 steps for several days, my skin did feel a lot cleaner, and noticeably clearer too. The three steps makes you feel like you are really cleaning your face and my skin felt a lot tighter as well. Especially when prepping your skin for a deep cleansing face mask, you really need to make sure that all unnatural chemicals are removed from your skin. Remember, sleeping in make up overnight builds up bacteria on your face and gets absorbed into your pores, causing breakouts, blackheads and large pores. Using a cleanser, toner and moisturiser can help rid your skin of make up and impurities to keep your skin looking it's best at all times.

For such small bottles, a little really does go a long way. Mine's lasted forever!

I just enjoy the bubbles really.

This is the mini size set and can be bought for £22.50 from Boots. (although I think their packaging has changed slightly!)

Have you used any of Clinique's 3 step systems before? How do you prep your skin for masks?
