I heard so many good things about this skincare regime that made me want to try it for myself. Ive been using it for just over a month now and I am happy with it so far. Im skin type 3 (Combination Oily) and it has definitely improved my skin -My make up looks better on and my skin feels a lot smoother. Im absolutely awful at remembering to take my make up off before I sleep but this has really helped me get into a proper routine every morning and evening.
Cleanser (step 1) This step is basically just do wash your face to get rid of as much surface dirt and impurities as possible. It doesn’t smell great but it works up into a nice lather and leaves my skin feeling super clean.
Clarifying Lotion (step 2) This is the toner stage of the system. It is really good for removing any dirt or make up you missed with step 1. It did make my skin feel a bit tight but it wasn’t really a big issue plus it was really satisfying to see how extra clean my skin was because, as I have discovered, I do miss a lot just washing my face.
Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel (step 3) helped get rid of the tight feeling and made my skin feel moisturised without being greasy or overly shiny. Sometimes I didn’t feel like it was moisturising enough so I would use another day or night cream if my skin was especially dry. This is not my favourite moisturiser in the world, it smells medicinal and has no SPF. However, I can always use suncream on top if Im going to spend a lot of time outdoors, and the scent is a sacrifice I’m willing to make if it gives me healthier looking skin.
I have actually just taken the Clinique online survey to determine the best products in the 3 step range for my skin type and it recommended I try the acne solutions! Im curious to give it a try, most breakouts are usually down to me not removing make up the night before or hormones so I don’t know how much difference it will make. If you want to take the survey yourself you can find it on the clinique website www.clinique.com
Let me know if you use this skin care system too, and how well it has worked for you. Im always open to trying new products if you have any suggestions.
xoxo
Kirsty
