I have been a fan of Nuxe products since trying the famous huile prodigieuse. Some products, like the Nuxe fondant shower gel, have impressed me whereas others, such as the Micellar Cleansing Water with rose petals, have been a real disappointment. I have wanted to try the Rêve de Miel lip balm since browsing the entire range online and I finally cracked a couple of weeks ago. I had a tedious 4 hour wait in Zurich airport and I spend most of that time in the pharmacy. It cost 17CHF which is close to £12. If I had some modicum of patience I would have waited and bought it for less than a tenner in the UK.
First impressions were good, the packaging seems pretty solid, although the lid makes it feel a little cheap. There's something about a glass pot that seems really substantial and luxurious.
It smells delicious, but not in an artificial way, almost like a chocolate orange and not the honey scent I expected. It is quite thick and requires a fair bit for each application. It is very matte so its perfect for moisturising my lips before lipstick as it prevents it from slipping and sliding all over the show. My lips were a little chapped when I bought this as i'd been neglecting them for a few weeks but this sorted them out in less than 2 days. If you'd like to try the Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm for yourself, it's available here.
