Desert Island Products: Make Up

MAC Cut a Caper, Illamasqua Precision Gel Liner Infinity, MAC fix+, MAC Skinfinish Natural

post signature  Quite frankly I can live without make up- for an extended period of time but not indefinitely and if I could only choose 4 products then I would go for these.

These are products that I find myself reaching for time and time again, and are pretty much staples of my everyday make up routine.

I tried to limit myself to one product from each category; eyes, lips & face.

ILLAMASQUA Precision Gel Liner in Infinity - I bought this when there was a flash sale online so I think I only paid half price and it was still slightly more expensive than my precious MAC fluid line. I really, really adore it and it's so easy to work with. I'll review it separately soon because I could rave for hours.

MAC Fix+ -  As many beauty bloggers will agree this is a make up bag staple- sadly not for the reason that MAC think. It really doesn't help my make up last longer on my face but it is certainly refreshing. I tend to use a lot of powder, more so in the summer to avoid having a shiny face but nobody wants to look like a powdery cheeked old lady which is where this comes in. A few spritzes of this will leave my skin with a more dewy finish.

MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Medium Dark - I bought this nearly a year ago and I've still not hit pan despite daily use. In the winter I did tend to use it as more of a bronzer/ contourer (a word??) as my skin was paler but in the summer I use it as an all over face powder or just to add a little shimmer to a more matte look.

MAC Lustre Lipstick in Cut a Caper - This was part of the heavenly creatures collection I think. I'm pretty sure its not available any more which is heartbreaking because mine won't last much longer and then i'll have to find another perfect coral-salmon shade. Normally colours like this look horrendous with my skin tone but this is a dream. It doesn't last quite as long as other MAC shades that I own but I think thats due to the Lustre finish.

What are your desert island products?
