GLOSSYBOX February 2013 review

Hi girlies, sorry for the extremely late post! I've been ridiculously busy this month and I thought I better post as the next glossybox arrived a couple of days ago.

The box is cute, with a flower bow design on a shiny box rather than the usual matte pink. The ribbon and shredded paper were also very valentines day-ish. A heart shaped lolly was also included in the box, which i ate immediately. The theme for this box was valentines day (obvs) with the products revolved around getting ready for valentines night.

I was a little disappointed with the first product; Anatomicals you need a blooming shower! Purely because I hated the last Anatomicals scrub that I got in a Glossybox. It smells really nice, and I love the scent of rose. I am actually giving it to Jasmine because I've got a huge stock of shower gels in my cupboard. The full size is sold for £5 according to glossybox but I saw it for £3.50 in Morrisons! This bottle isn't quite full size so it's value is probably about £2.50.

I was really excited when I saw the Dr Renaud Raspberry soft cream because Ill be needing a new face cream really soon and this one smells heavenly! It's suitable for sensitive skin and this tube is worth around £15.00. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

The modelco bronzed goddess eyeshadow duo didn't really fill me with joy, I already own lovely neutral eyeshadows so I feel like I won't get much use out of this palette. The colours are called Maldives and Jamaica and swatch quite well. Mine arrived slightly damaged which was disappointing but it's not the end of the world. The palette has a useful mirror inside and a stupid sponge applicator that I would rather burn than use. It literally applies no eyeshadow at all. The full size is £18.00 for an eyeshadow trio which makes this worth £12.00

I'm still going through my lipstick obsessed phase so I was super happy to see this Helen É cosmetics moisturising lipstick in Raspberry. The packaging isn't the kind I'd usually go for but it's a lovely colour and lasts quite a while - and doesn't dry out my lips. This is the full size product, worth £8.00.

The final beauty product in the box was a Micabella cosmetics mineral blush powder pot in Siera Suede. The tiny pot makes it so difficult to apply the product without making a huge mess which really put me off using it. Aside from that its a nice product but not necessarily worth buying the full size at £34.95. Mineral make up is obviously a big thing at the moment but I think I'm happy with my current blush. This little pot is worth £3.10.

Overall I'm pleased with the February Glossybox- it's a massive improvement on the January box. The total value was £66.20 so it was well worth the monthly subscription cost. If you'd like to check it out visit www.glossybox.co.uk.

What did you get in your Glossybox?
Xoxo Kirsty
