Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation Classic Beige 201

After writing a foundation wishlist a couple of weeks ago I became a bit obsessed with getting a new one. I didn't actually bring any foundation with me to Kosovo because I'm an idiot and i've been making do with Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm and a REN satin perfection BB cream sample. All the brands I was lusting after are sadly not available here and I don't have the patience to order anything online- Post takes a month to get here from the UK!-
I was able to find some Bourjois Healthy Mix but it was the serum kind, not the normal foundation I was after, plus they didn't have any shades that remotely matched my skin. In the end I came across Rimmel in a supermarket, and they were having a sale! I paid the equivalent of about £3.00 for the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade 201 Classic Beige. It was one of the foundations that I had been considering but I was planning on treating myself. I'm actually really happy I found such a bargain.

I knew that this foundation had been really popular with some beauty bloggers but I had never read a really in-depth review so I didn't know what to expect. I must admit I didn't really have high hopes, Rimmel face products that I'd used as a teenager left a lot to be desired but I was really pleasantly surprised by the formula of this foundation.

It easily lasts all day without a primer on my skin and I really like the fact it has SPF 15 in it. I found it blends really well with a traditional foundation brush (Mac 190) and a stippling brush (Mac 137). The finish is perfect, slightly shimmery but not shiny. I'm not sure what it means by an anti-fatigue effect but it certainly makes my skin seem brighter. It's available here if you want to purchase it in the UK.

I tried to swatch the product but its so similar to the colour of my skin on the back of my hand it actually wouldn't show up in a photo.

Have you tried Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation?
