I've been trawling the Zara site a lot recently and there is so much that I want. I need a completely new winter wardrobe and I find that Zara is great for staples. I really like h&m and Topshop for wardrobe basics but I find that the quality at h&m leaves a lot to be desired and Topshop is so overpriced. Zara is a bit hit and miss in terms of both quality and price but these items seem perfect for A/W.
1- COTTON TRENCH COAT £79.99 - I've been obsessed with trench coats since I was about 15 and I bought my first in TK Maxx. They are so versatile and add a touch of class to any outfit. I really like to wear them in the autumn-winter period when it's not quite freezing yet. My navy trench from Dorothy Perkins has really seen better days so it's high time I invested in a new one.
2 - LEATHER CITY BAG WITH POCKET AND ZIPS £99.00 - This is a little overpriced for a hight street handbag but Zara leather handbags are really hardwearing. My Plaited Handle Bucket Bag is still going strong and I really do overstuff my handbags! This one is quite Celine-esque which on one hand I love, because I can't afford a luggage tote anytime soon, but i'm also wary of anything that's too designer rip-off.
I made a promise to myself over a year ago that I would only buy good quality handbags, if not designer, then leather at the very least. This might seem a bit excessive but I was really tired of having to buy a new handbag every month as they broke/fell out of style. I really want to own bags that will last a lifetime if cared for properly and who wouldn't love a handbag collection handed down to them from their mother?
3 - TRF FLAT BOOT £39.99 - I adore knee high flat boots and i'm constantly on the lookout for the perfect pair- these are sadly not leather but I reckon they would last the winter. At just under £40 I think these are a bargain because they will go with literally everything.
What high street items take your fancy this autumn?
That is one lovely bag! I have the same things with handbags. I am always buying Primark bags and have to throw them out a couple weeks later. Now you've inspired me to buy better quality bags as well!

I havn't had a new handbag since July last year but I really do appreciate the bags that i have more. rather than spending £10-£15 in primark every month id rather spend £100 once a year!

Zara has some really pretty ones at the moment, as well as some more thick-winter coats. Its such a classic colour!
