Last Minute Christmas Gift Guide / Beauty

I know i'm more than a little bit late to the party and most of you may have already finished your christmas shopping. I know that I have bought the bulk of the gifts for my loved ones already but I still have a few outstanding gifts to plan, purchase and wrap!

My approach to gift shopping is basically shopping for myself, because I know that if i like it my friend/sister/etc will like it too. This beauty round up of last minute gifts may be just in the nick of time to inspire you to grab some great gifts, or even just as a bookmark for boxing day presents for yourself.

I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to hand cream, you can never have too many as far as I am concerned. I'm really paranoid about getting dry hands so I keep some in the car, by the front door, in my handbag, at my desk and in random coat pockets. I particularly love the Jurlique rose hand cream because it sinks in quickly and doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy. I have heard rave reviews about the Rosewater Balancing Mist and as rose is one of my favourite scents I have to agree that the mist is refreshing and toning, plus this fragrant rose duo can be found here for only £27.

Charlotte Tilbury has been one of my favourite brands in recent years, partly due to the gorgeous packaging. The Goddess Skin Clay Mask is totally unlike what I expected, it is creamy and silky and does not dry to a cakey crisp that requires chipping off. I want to call it a stocking filler but at £38 it is  a very substantial gift all on its' own. Click here to explore Charlotte Tilbury.

As soon as I saw these cuties on Instagram I just knew they had to be mine. I have been trying to get my hands on a  travel friendly sized Fix+ from MAC for years, and every single time i'm in store or at the airport and remember I need one they are out of stock. I vaguely remember the limited edition scented Fix+ sprays that were released a while back and I totally missed out so these scented minis are ticking all the boxes for me. I travel fairly frequently and it really bugs me that the regular sized Fix+ spray takes up nearly all of the liquid allowance bag when getting through security with hand luggage.

Included in this kit is a rose, lavender and coconut scented spray and I think that coconut is probably my favourite so far. I was more than a little irritated to see that the trio costs £30 in the UK, when it was available in the US for just $20 but I suppose £10 per bottle is not totally beyond the realms of what is reasonable. If you want to treat yourself to the set you can shop MAC here.

I treated myself to the Spectrum Brushes eye set over a year ago and I use it pretty regularly. I bought the above face kit during the Black Friday/ Cyber Monday event because there is something soothing about having a full matching set. Spectrum Brushes are cruelty free, cute and very affordable and make the perfect xmas gift for any friend that loves make up. You can shop direct here but they are also available from Boots/ASOS which might be a better option if you are an ASOS VIP for the free shipping/ student discount potential.

If you have not tried any Huda Beauty where have you been? I adore every product I have tried so far and this lip set is my latest obsession. The tin itself is the cutest thing and the mini liquid matte and lip strobe are actually the perfect size. Never in my life have I finished an entire lipstick so for me this size of product is ideal, the liquid matte and lip contour work perfectly well together if you want more of a laid-back daytime look. I usually purchase from Cult Beauty because they have the widest range of available products, you can treat yourself or your bestie to one of these (they come in a  few different shades) for £29.

The Charbonnel & Walker Pink Marc de Champagne truffles are my all-time favourite chocolate treat. I used to treat myself to a box once a semester as an undergrad, shopping at the tiny store in Liverpool St Station. They are usually available in places such as John Lewis/ Waitrose and can also be purchased online. They are on my Christmas list every year, and last year my evil sister bought a box for my husband with the explicit instruction not to share with me :(
