L'Oréal Elnett Satin Heat Protect Styling Spray

I saw the adverts for this and, like the sucker I am, went and bought it. It was 5.99 but at the time I bought it was 2 for 9.00 in Boots. Instead of treating myself to a new hairspray as part of the deal, I bought Jasmine one too. I chose the Straight for myself and Volume for Jasmine.
This product does make some grand claims about its abilities. It supposedly is able to keep hair straight for 3 days, lock out frizz and flyaways and protect hair from up to 230 degree heat. Clearly L'Oréal are not familiar with my hair type. Its long, thick and wavy/curly/frizzy depending on its' mood. It certainly did protect my hair nicely, I didn't hear any of the usual sizzling or notice any more split ends after use. It also smells nice which wins points.

As for the styling it did help tame my hair but it certainly didn't stay sleek and straight for 3 days, probably just under one actually. I also had to use supplemetary serum to deal with my flyaways. I will continue to use this for heat protective purposes but I can't really rely on it for all my hair styling needs. 5.99 is probably the upper end of what I would pay for this kind of product. The packaging is nice, it smells nice, it made my hair suuuuper silky and protected it but I wouldn't say it styled it massively. Rather it assisted me in styling my hair. If you have less wild hair this will probably work wonders as my hair is probably the worst opponent this product will ever have.
What do you think of this spray?
xoxo Kirsty

  1. I haven't tried this yet but I'd probably just use it in place of my usual heat protectant and still use my other styling products. x

  2. I've also seen this advertised on TV and think I'm just brought on how amazing the girls hair looks. Having quite wild hair also probably not the best product for me. X

    1. I always forget that girls on tv have had their hair styled professionally, so that my attempts at home will never look the same! Haha it's a good heat protector but I'm still looking for my holy grail styling product! Xo
