Back in April Glossybox teamed up with Pearl Lowe to design a really cute one-off box. This box was filled with great brands and really useable products with the theme of spring fever. I adore the pattern on the box and will have to find something to store inside it to justify keeping it.
First was a NIP + FAB PISTACHIO SUNDAE DRY SKIN FIX BODY BUTTER. I actually have the 200ml full size in pistachio sundae already so it would have been nice to try a different scent. It is a fantastic body butter and has definitely earned its place in my top 5. It soaks in quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue, plus it smells edible. This 50ml mini pot is worth about £2.50.
Second up is an ESSIE polish in WE'RE IN IT TOGETHER which is a baby pink with a lot of shimmer. I'm not usually a fan of shimmery polishes but this one is still quite subtle. Essie is easily my go-to brand for polish at the moment so I'm thrilled to have another to add to my collection. This is the full size (although how cute would Essie minis be?!) and are £7.99 each.
The most exciting product in the box was by far the ILLAMASQUA MEDIUM PENCIL in ELATE. I have never bought anything from Illamasqua despite reading rave reviews from bloggers. I'm fairly set in my ways and I'm reluctant to spend so much money trying out something from a brand I don't yet trust. It's pure white which is quite a versatile colour to use, and I'm glad I didn't get the canary yellow pencil in my box! I can see myself using this on my waterline to widen my eyes. This is the full size and costs £13.00 ( for 1g!!).
CRABTREE & EVELYN is a very well known company and renowned for their hand creams. This SOMERSET MEADOW is a new fragrance that was launched exclusively in this glossybox. It is very strongly floral and is great for extremely dried out hands. This little bottle is worth £3.50.
Lastly was a perfume sample. Thankfully it's not one of those stupid little vials but a cute mini bottle of YVES ROCHER SO ELIXIR PURPLE. I'm no going to pretentiously describe the perfume for you but I can say that I like it. It's not too sweet and sickly and smells quite 'grown up'. I'm really fussy with perfume but I probably will use this as an evening perfume in the summer. This sample is worth £4.40. Which brings the total value of this box to £31.39.
What did you get in your box?
Xoxo Kirsty
