My love affair with MAC started quite a few years ago and it doesn't look as if it will be ending any time soon. From Lipsticks to Eyeshadow there's nothing I don't love! The only thing i've not really tried are their concealers or any skincare products which is a situation I hope to change in the future. I've picked my favourite products (that are currently in my possession) to show you what I think is worth purchasing.
MAC eyeshadows are really well known for their colour payoff and workability. I've tried a fair few shades before I decided to put a palette together myself. These are my go-to shadows for an every day red/brown smokey eye. See here for the tutorial on how to depot MAC eyeshadows for the palette.
The colours are (Matte) Swiss Chocolate, (Matte2) Handwritten, (Frost) Nylon and Cranberry.
Fix+ is a make up bag staple - I use a lot of powder to set my foundation and fix+ brings my skin texture back and gives me a more dewy complexion. It doesn't help my make up last any longer but I can't imagine leaving it out of my routine.
Lustre Fire Sign
Lustre Cusp of Dawn
Every girl needs a reliable, wearable red and a nude. I adore matte lipsticks but for every day wear I prefer a lipstick that's a bit glossier. These are by no means shiny but they glide on easily and don't dry out my lips. When I go for a stronger eye look I like to play down my lips and stick with neutral tones. Cusp of Dawn is the perfect, ever so slightly shimmery, nude.
Gel Liner is hands down, my favourite eye adornment. I have a love/hate relationship with liquid eyeliner and it often irritates my sensitive eyes. MAC Fluidline was my first foray into gel liner and it really impressed me. I am currently using an Illamasqua gel liner in black and I rely on fluidline in Dipdown for days that I don't want such a bold eye.
Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in Medium Dark
My summer skin is fading which means I can no longer use this as an all over face powder without needing like I look like a wash. Instead, I am using this an a subtle bronzer.
What are your favourite MAC products?
